Help relieve the symptoms of osteo-arthritis with acupuncture

Few people realise that it may be possible to eliminate the pain caused by osteo-arthritis and resolve the inflammation by using acupuncture.
Arthritis can be caused by a lack of fluid in the affected joint and this lack of fluid leads the cartilage on either end of the two bones forming the joint to rub together, causing inflammation and pain.
The fluid in the joint is called synovial fluid, and it may be possible to directly stimulate the production of this fluid by using acupuncture, regardless of where the arthritis is in the body. By increasing the amount of fluid in the joint, it may be possible to prevent the cartilage from rubbing together, therefore eliminating the pain and inflammation. The fluid may be stimulated by using two or three needles in the body that are usually nowhere near the arthritic joint/s, they are retained for 20 minutes, during which time the patient relaxes. Treatment at first is every two weeks and after some improvement the patient only needs to come for monthly visits. As and when the arthritic pain is resolved it is then recommended to have four sessions a year help prevent the synovial fluid from becoming deficient again.
