Mercedes Donaldson

Mercedes graduated from Bristol University and was employed by one of the largest London Teaching Hospitals - Guys and St. Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust.

Whilst working there Mercedes developed a special interest in the musculoskeletal field, focusing on the treatment of acute sports injuries and also the design and development of rehabilitation programmes enabling the fastest possible return to sport.  Mercedes is herself a keen sportswoman and has used her expertise working pitchside for the London Exiles Rugby Team as well as managing post training clinics for a Division One London netball team.

Mercedes' established clinical skills were further enhanced when she accepted a position with the British Armed Forces, treating soldiers, some with acute injuries, and others with more complex conditions, requiring rehabilitation programmes to ensure the fastest possible return to active duty.

Alongside the development of her musculoskeletal skills, Mercedes has also developed a high level of knowledge and skill in the treatment of ante-natal and post-natal conditions, including back and pelvic pain.  Mercedes' expertise in these areas enable her to give expert and authoritative ante-natal & post-natal advice and education.

In addition to these areas of special interest,  Mercedes' experience includes the assessment and treatment of chronic pain, spinal stabilisation training (core stability), Hydrotherapy, obstetrics, orthopaedics (post surgery rehabilitation), neurology and care of the elderly.   She is also currently completing her training to become a Pilates instructor.
