Rich Stanley - Physiotherapist in Poole
Rich Stanley qualified as a physiotherapist in 2007 from Southampton University.
He started his career working as a physiotherapist in an acute hospital trust in Worthing, Sussex, learning all aspects of physiotherapy before deciding to pursue a career in musculoskeletal physiotherapy.
He moved to Hampshire in 2009 to specialise in this area of physiotherapy, before moving to the Poole area a year later and gaining a post as a senior physiotherapist in the NHS in Dorset County NHS Trust. He now splits his time between the NHS and private practice at Lilliput Health.
He is currently studying for a Masters degree in musculoskeletal physiotherapy at Brighton University and has a particular interest in spinal rehabilitation. He also has a keen interest in movement dysfunction and correcting this for optimal performance.
He is a specialist in manual therapy including manipulative techniques, and has an ethos of looking to treat the patient as a whole and exploring the limitations and pain that each individual patient feels. He is a keen watersportsman and has an interest in treating watersports injuries and getting people back on the water as soon as possible.
