About Natural Nutrition

Natural Nutrition is a holistic approach that helps to restore vibrancy on all levels. Everything within and around us is interconnected, therefore it is important to treat the body as a whole, rather than looking at individual symptoms. Disease is usually viewed in a negative light, however, it presents us with an opportunity to initiate change in order to bring about healing.

Optimum nutrition and naturopathic techniques are used to remove internal and external stressors and help restore balance. This activates the body’s innate healing mechanisms and creates an environment in which we can heal at a cellular level. By detoxifying the body we create movement and freedom within, which enables us to reconnect to our inner wisdom and the natural rhythms.  As Sri Swami Satchidananda says “the real doctor is within.” The Natural Nutrition approach is empowering as it teaches us to listen and respond to our body’s needs and by doing this we can be our own guide to health and happiness.

How does Natural Nutrition work?

During the initial appointment an in-depth consultation will be taken that will not only look at current symptoms and patterns, but also go back through your history from birth.  If possible I will also ask for details of any health issues that have affected previous generations in your family. This information will help to create a clear image of where any problem has come from and highlights any predispositions or inherited weaknesses that may be affecting your current health.

From this you will be given a personalised programme that will recommend dietary and lifestyle changes and supplementation where appropriate. To support the body during this time of cleansing and change, naturopathic techniques will be suggested.  These will prevent the body’s detoxification abilities from becoming overwhelmed.  In combination these will help to remove stress and re-hydrate the body in order to promote optimum health.
