Adele Edmund – Poole based Sports Massage Therapist

Adele trained at the London School of Sports Massage and is fully qualified both as a Sports and Remedial Massage Therapist and also as a Fitness Instructor. The combination of these two disciplines has enabled her to have a broad understanding of the many ways that sports injuries may present themselves. Her personal tutor at the LSSM was the respected Mel Cash, internationally recognised through his pioneering textbooks on massage techniques, which have long since become the standard reference works for the sports massage industry. He was so impressed with the standard of Adele’s work that he judged her final year dissertation to be the most accomplished he had ever seen.

Adele is well travelled. During a trip around the globe in 2008 she identified a requirement for a Sports Therapist at the renowned St Anton ski resort, and worked there for four months providing sports and remedial massage and treating the injuries of many professional skiers. She has also taken her sports therapy expertise to various events, including the London Marathon, the Great North Run and the Bournemouth Rugby ‘Sevens’.

Prior to her Sports Massage experience, Adele worked in several Spas and Health Centres as a qualified Holistic Therapist. Here she practised such disciplines as reflexology, Indian head massage, hot stones massage, Thai massage, Swedish massage and aromatherapy massage.
