Cally graduated in 2007 from the University of Hull with an Honours degree in Sports Rehabilitation.
After graduating she worked for several years in a number of Primary Care Facilities and Regional Rehabilitation Units for the Ministry of Defence, treating a plethora of injuries sustained through combat, sport and day-to-day activities for thousands of military personnel.
Cally has been the resident Strength and Conditioning Coach for Fordingbridge Rugby Club providing pre season training and continual advice throughout the season for four consecutive. She was instrumental in the establishment of a new Crossfit facility in North Hampshire where she developed and executed a successful mobility and wellness programme for its members. In addition she has also provided coaching in other Crossfit establishments.
To complement her degree, Cally has continued to develop her professional delivery capability by undertaking qualifications in Dry Needling, Nordic Walking Instructor, Mountain Bike Leader, Aqua Aerobics Instructor, BACPR Cardiac Rehabilitation Specialist and is currently working towards Level 3 accreditation with the UK Strength and Conditioning Association. Being a practitioner of a broad spectrum of disciplines has led Cally to take a holistic view on targeting treatments to match each individual’s requirements and capabilities.
Cally enjoys pushing herself to her limits participating in a variety of activities such as; mountain biking, body boarding, snow boarding and Crossfit. She has used Crossfit as a training modality for over 4 years and has found that this has had a positive crossover in to everyday physical activities. By experiencing the effects that different training modalities can have on the body, she has a great affinity for understanding how the body works and what we expect our bodies to endure under the stresses of many activities.
