Sports Massage Therapist

Nicole Talbot - Sports Massage Therapist at Lilliput Health

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

I have worked as a Registered Massage Therapist (RMT) in British Columbia Canada for over three years and have recently made the permanent move to the UK. My private practice in Canada was based out of multidisciplinary Physical Therapy Clinics and Sports Centres. My experiences so far have led me to continue my education in Injury Rehabilitation, Therapeutic Exercise, Temporomandibular Joint Massage (TMJ) (Jaw), Prenatal Massage and Myofascial Release with Cupping.

SKILLS:

My manual therapy skill set is deep tissue, joint mobilizations, trigger point pressure release, full body relaxation massage, myofascial release, cupping, GTO release, basic craniosacral, basic lymphatic drainage and therapeutic exercise and stretching. I have used these techniques to treat athletes, women in gestation, infants, children, patients in hospices, patients with autoimmune diseases and a variety of developmental disorders.

My main goal as an RMT and Sports Massage Therapist is to use clinical science assessments to isolate and identify probable causes affecting you from achieving your maximum physical and, in turn, mental health. I will work with you to relieve your pain and create a routine specific to you that can help avoid future ailments. Through manual therapy, self-care exercises and a quick anatomy lesson related to your specific discomforts, I am able to provide a treatment that is educational and effective.

PASSIONS:

My passions for backcountry skiing, mountain biking, and sports fishing have continued to work there way into my career life and have brought me to Lilliput Health and Total Therapy. Through a history of placements in Heli-Ski Lodges, Fishing Resorts and the renowned sports destination of Whistler, BC, Canada – I have had the pleasure of working with some of the worlds most influential and talented professional athletes. These experiences have fuelled my passion for rehabilitation, injury prevention and holistic management of chronic injuries and pain. I consider myself a very well rounded and skilled manual therapist, with the ability to meet the therapeutic needs of almost any client. At Lilliput Health and Total Therapy, I look forward to creating a community of clients eager to improve their health.

WHAT ARE YOU PLANNING TO LEARN NEXT?
